When does television switch over to digital in Brisbane?
Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you’re probably aware that analog TV signals are being turned off across Australia in 2013. The date for the Brisbane changeover is 28 May, 2013. After this date, only households with digital ready televisions or equipment will be able to access television signals in the Brisbane region.
What if I don’t own a digital TV?
If you haven’t recently upgraded your TV set to one that is capable of receiving digital signals you’ll either need to consider buying a television that receives digital channels. An alternative is to buy a set top box to receive digital frequencies which is the cheaper option.
I have a digital TV but can’t receive all the channels…
If you’ve already tried retuning your television and are still not receiving all the channels, there may be issues with your cabling or your antenna. Cabling that is 15 years old may need to be replaced, or your antenna may need to be upgraded.
